Safety Certifications
ECY Surveyor has been authorized on behalf of the classification society UDICER, a government-recognized organization approved to issue safety certificates for Italian-flagged vessels up to 24 meters in length.”
Udicer/Nautitest is the Notified Body appointed to the European Community by the Italian State, identified by international number 0966, and carries out all verification and certification procedures for CE marking of recreational craft and components covered by the new Directive 2013/53/EU (and residual applications of Directive 94/25/EC – 2003/44/EC), as well as certifications of production quality systems and total company quality management systems.
Udicer also performs inspection visits for the issuance, renewal and validation of safety certificates for vessels, as well as all inspections required by the Italian Recreational Craft Code and its implementing regulations.
In addition to the safety certificate, we are available to carry out inspections for:
- Issuance of the safety certificate
- Renewal of the safety certificate
- Validation of the safety certificate
- Extension of navigation limits for recreational craft
- Issuance, renewal and validation of the charter suitability certificate
- Installation/removal of engines
- Increase in the maximum number of persons allowed on board
- Determination of hull length
- Assessment of a vessel’s suitability for navigation without limitations
